During our recent stay at the Design-Hotel Zur Abtei in Aachen, I was particularly impressed by the sumptuous breakfast, which was, without a doubt, the highlight of our experience. The elegantly laid-out dining area created a perfect atmosphere to enjoy a well-stocked buffet that catered to various tastes, setting a delightful tone for our days of adventure in the stunning North Eifel Nature Park. While the check-in process was straightforward, we were slightly disappointed with the size of our bedroom; the double bed was positioned against the wall, making access a bit tricky. Nevertheless, the ensuite shower facilities were functional, and we appreciated the clean, well-maintained environment throughout the hotel. For active travelers like us who enjoy venturing into nature, the hotel serves as an exceptional base for exploring the nearby Frankenwäldchen Forest, while also being conveniently located with easy access to motorway connections to Belgium and Holland. Despite a few minor drawbacks, the Design-Hotel Zur Abtei provided a comfortable and convenient stay, allowing my family and me to dive into the area's abundant natural beauty with great enthusiasm.
